Rubén Fasani
Nació el 22 de diciembre de 1960. Estudio en la Escuela Nacional de Cerámica.
Sus primeras producciones fueron de objetos utilitarios en ceramica, realizadas con el torno alfarero. En este período investigó en esmaltes tradicionales japoneses, en gres y porcelana. Posteriormente comienza a incursionar en la escultura e instalaciones, desarrollando las siguientes series, “Autos”, “Naves”, “Erótica” y “Multitud silenciosa”. Esta última está compuesta por cientos de personas representando diversas situaciones de aglomeraciones humanas donde el artista intenta reflexionar sobre ellas.
Con la serie “Naves” que realiza tanto en vidrio como en cerámica propone una mirada particular sobre las idas y vueltas de personas y mercaderías alrededor del mundo. A mediados de los noventa inicia su investigación en vidrio con vitrofusion y más tarde en fundición a la cera perdida, combinando ambas técnicas. En esa búsqueda va descubriendo un placer en usar desechos industriales para utilizarlos en su creación artística. Actualmente el reciclado es importante en su obra, formando parte del hecho artístico en sí mismo. Obtuvo varios premios nacionales e internacionales adquiriendo en el año 2000 el Gran Premio de Honor Presidente de la Nación Argentina en el Salón Nacional de Cerámica. Es representado por galerias en los Estados Unidos en New York (NY), Palm Desert (California), Santa Fe (Nuevo Mexico), Chicago (Ilinois), entre otras. Parte de sus obras forman parte de colecciones privadas.

Study at the National School of Ceramics, graduating from the National Technical Ceramic Arts. He has made funtional objects in ceramics, were made with potter’s wheel. He has investigated in traditional Japanese glazes in stoneware and porcelain. Then he began to work in sculpture and installations working on series such as «Cars,» «Ships,» «Erotica».
In the mid-nineties began his research in fussing glass and lost wax process. He works with recycled glass. He has discovered a strange pleasure to use industrial waste and transform them into an artistic creation.
The «silent multitude.»consists of hundreds of people representing different situations of human agglomerations where the artist want to reflect on them.
With the series «Naves» that carried out both in glass and ceramics suggests a particular view about the comings and goings of people and goods around the world. He has won several national and international awards in 2000 becoming the Grand Prize of Honor President of Argentina in the National Ceramic Exhibition. Some of his works are in private collections and others are exhibited in international museums.
